Dr. Sean Devlin, DO, MD(H), HMD, MS, is a board-certified Family Physician with board eligibility in Emergency Medicine. He is also a fellowship-trained physician in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, Integrative Cancer Therapeutics, and Neuromuscular Medicine. Dr. Devlin is the medical director and overseeing physician at a local integrative medical center where he provides comprehensive and detail-oriented healthcare, nutritional counseling, and lifestyle guidance.
Early in his career, Dr. Devlin was honored with a National Health Service Corps Scholarship and provided primary care to underserved areas of Nevada and Idaho under the Department of Health and Human Services. During this period, he worked with various non-profit organizations, including clinics and hospitals, to provide critical access to healthcare in rural Nevada.
Dr. Devlin holds a Masters's degree in Biochemistry and has pursued doctoral studies in Pharmacology with an emphasis on the evaluation of novel antineoplastic agents. His research on the endocannabinoid system and its relationship with the parasympathetic nervous system has led him to explore the clinical implications of cannabis as a medicine for a wide range of clinical conditions. Dr. Devlin has compassionately and actively recommended medicinal cannabis for over a decade and has educated his patients on its safe and appropriate use.
Dr. Devlin is one of the founders of the International Organization of Integrative Cancer Physicians (IOICP), a non-profit cancer research and educational foundation, and he currently sits on IOICP's advisory board. He has lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of medical topics and is regularly sought to provide his expertise through direct consultation and lectures from a variety of medical organizations.
Dr. Devlin has also been fellowship trained in neuromuscular medicine and has focused on rehabilitating patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. He has utilized medicinal cannabis for nearly a decade and has seen over 10,000 patients while working in Colorado, Nevada, Washington, and California.
With his vast knowledge of cannabis as a medicine, Dr. Devlin is working on developing a state-of-the-art Integrative and Functional Medicine practice utilizing the latest research in the field of cannabinoid medicine. He and his team of cannabis experts are also working on building a foundational education program to make marijuana utilization appropriate and beneficial for the general public while ensuring patients are aware of its potential side effects.
