He has studied with Master teachers, leading to an understanding of the formative power of the conscious and unconscious mind, when he summarized in his ground-breaking book, Edgework, Exploring the Psychology of Disease.

Dr. Ronald Peters graduated from Stanford University with honors. He then attended UCLA School of Medicine followed by a Masters in Public Health at the UCLA School of Public Health. Recognizing the limitations of conventional medical training with its emphasis on drugs and surgery, he has devoted the past 40 years to the study of integrative, or functional, medicine. He worked at the Pritikin Longevity Center and then developed the InnerHealth Program, both in Los Angeles.
