Dr. Nathan Goodyear is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who received his Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana Tech University and his Doctor of Medicine from LSU Health Sciences Center.
Since 2006, Dr. Goodyear has been practicing Integrative Medicine and is a Fellow in Functional and Regenerative Medicine. He has served on the board of the American Functional Medicine Association and is licensed by the Arizona Homeopathic and Integrative Medical Board in the State of Arizona. Dr. Goodyear is also an avid blogger and podcaster, and his passion is to bridge the science of Wellness Medicine to the clinical application of Wellness Medicine, to restore medicine to its original purpose of teaching the body how to heal.
Dr. Goodyear has a particular interest in Pelvic Health and Menopause Management and has founded the Pelvic Health & Menopause Center in Ruston, LA. He has also worked as an employed physician at Obstetrics and Gynecology of Columbus, PC, in Columbus, GA and Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, LA.
Dr. Goodyear has advanced training in Gynecologic Urology and Pelvic Muscle Rehabilitation and has attended several conferences, including the Cleveland Clinic Female Pelvic Floor Disorders and the Mayo Urogynecology and Disorders of the Female Pelvic Floor.
Dr. Goodyear is a published author, having written "Man Boob Nation–an Integrative medicine approach to low Testosterone" in 2014 and "Total Testosterone Transformation" in 2017. He has also given lectures on various topics, including Man Boob Nation, Metabolic Syndrome, and Hormone Imbalance, at conferences such as The Balance for Health & Wellness Conference, A4M National Conference, and American Functional Medicine Association.
In addition to his medical pursuits, Dr. Goodyear is passionate about his faith, family, writing, and travel. He has received several awards throughout his career, including the Obstetrics & Gynecology Residents Chairman’s Award and the Resident Achievement Award from The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Goodyear's ultimate goal is to empower his patients to achieve optimal health and wellness through integrative medicine and education.
