Dr. Shacket completed his medical internship at Hillside Hospital in San Diego, California, before completing a proctology residency program at Phoenix General Hospital in Arizona. During his residency, Dr. Shacket received specialized training in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, genital diseases, and anal rectal surgery. He has since gone on to become dually licensed by the State of Arizona as a Doctor of Medicine (Homeopathic) and as an Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon.
Dr. Shacket has a diverse and accomplished career, serving on the Clinical Faculty of the Abrazo Central Campus Family Medicine Residency program and conducting medical research studies on pharmaceutical and medical device treatments. He has also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Clinical Education at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he lectured medical students on the diagnosis and treatment of colon, rectal, and anal genital disorders.
Dr. Shacket is a nationally recognized expert and lecturer on the subject of proctology and hemorrhoids, having authored a medical textbook on the "Electric Treatment of Hemorrhoids" and numerous articles in medical publications and newspapers across the country. He was featured in the Phoenix Magazine 2008 Top Doctors issue for his work in Phlebology.
Dr. Shacket is originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona, and La Jolla, California. He is a proud father of four children and continues to be a leading authority in the field of proctology and alternative medicine.
