AHIMA Fast Track Homeopathic Medicine Education Program

The Homeopathic and Integrative Medicine License in the State of Arizona covers a wide variety of modalities, many of which are not considered a part of conventional medicine.

The license allows you to expand your toolbox of therapies. You can build on what you learned in your conventional training, going on to treat the 85% of patients with chronic illness for whom acute surgical and pharmaceutical therapies are no longer (and perhaps never were) the best treatment options.

Scope of practice of the homeopathic physician in Arizona:

  • Acupuncture (classical and/or electrodermal) and Oriental
  • Medicine
  • Chelation therapy
  • Classical Homeopathy
  • Complex homeopathy
  • Minor surgery
  • Neuromuscular integration – musculoskeletal therapy
  • Nutrition therapy
  • Orthomolecular medicine
  • Pharmaceutical medicine

Fast Track Homeopathic Medicine Education Program

You will work with a physician advisor both online and on the telephone. One of our current licensed members will spend time with you, to help you prepare for the examination. You may also be given the opportunity to spend time in your advisor’s office, learning how to apply these new modalities to patient care.

Your physician advisor can help you find the best opportunities for course work, so that you may understand your options. You can obtain CME credits toward your allopathic AND your homeopathic licensure while learning different modalities of treatment from those who have spent years developing them.

A total of 300 hours of additional education is required for licensure, of which 40 hours must be in classical Homeopathy. The remainder can be in any multiple of the above-listed integrative medicine modalities. You may, in fact, already have taken much of the course work that will qualify you to sit for the Homeopathic license examination.

Coursework may include training through the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), the American Association for Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the International Organization of Integrative Cancer Physicians (IOICP), the Helms Medical Institute (Medical Acupuncture), and many other organizations presenting “outside the box” opportunities to expand your knowledge base and — skills.

There are many opportunities to obtain the CME credits required for eligibility to sit for the Homeopathic Board examination. Your physician advisor can help you determine which courses are appropriate for you, scientifically valid and genuine opportunities to learn new material.

Part of the educational process is learning how to use the tools of classical homeopathy.
Most of us were taught that homeopathy is all about smoke and mirrors. After all, how can something which is so dilute that it contains “nothing of substance” possibly have any effect whatsoever on any organism?

If you have come this far in your quest for medicine that heals, you have almost certainly figured out that we are in fact creatures made of energy, and that there is more to the world than what we can touch or put into a bottle. But learning to use bioenergetic medicine takes more than memorization of a series of facts.

Nevertheless, facts are important. We advance in our knowledge by learning from those who have gone before us. We can help you get the facts and the training from people who have both experiences and knowledge.

Forty hours of training in classical homeopathy are required for licensure by the ABHIM (Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medical Examiners). Where does one go for training?

Two excellent courses are available that fulfill the Board’s requirement for 40 hours of training in classical homeopathy. Both the courses cover all the remedies tested on the Board examination.

American Medical College of Homeopathy

– presents the Introduction to Homeopathic Medicine Course, a 40-hour online-learning course that prepares the physician for part of the requirements for homeopathic licensure here in Arizona. Three hours of phone mentorship are included in the program. This program is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and has been offered at the American Medical College of Homeopathy since 1995. For more information contact PIHMA College & Clinic, info@pihma.edu or call 602-274-1885.

British Institute of Homeopathy

– also presents a 40-hour distance learning course created for the medical professional who is interested in the practice of Homeopathic Medicine and who wants to develop the ability to use homeopathic medicines in their practice. The course has been approved by the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrative Medicine Examiners towards licensing requirements.

Included in this course is a one hundred page Materia Medica that covers the most used homeopathic remedies for a large variety of problems you are apt to see and deal with in your clinical practice. To register or for more information, contact Maria Bohle at MBohle@bihint.com. The cost of this course is $1000 plus a $200 registration fee.

Homeopathic licensure requires 300 hours of training, of which 40 must be in classical homeopathy. An additional 260 hours of training can be in one of the “alternative” modalities described in the scope of practice.

These hours may be in the fields of naturopathic medicine, herbal medicine, bioenergetic medicine, electrodermal diagnosis, biofrequency modulation, microcurrent therapy… the list goes on and on. Any form of therapy or field of study relating to healing medicine which is outside the standard allopathic toolbox.

The Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medical Examiners will, of course, make the final determination whether the course work that you present is adequate to fulfill the Board’s requirements.

Your physician advisor will be happy to go over these options with you in greater detail.

Integrative Medicine Course, under the AMCH Department of Integrative Medicine,

is one of the most comprehensive training programs in integrative medicine available. This Integrative Medicine Course prepares physicians, in part, to sit for the Arizona Homeopathy Licensing Exam. http://www.amcofh.org/integrative-medicine-course/ You will work with a Physician Mentor while enrolled in the Fast Track Program.
